El Cohiba 59 - Marina di Pulsano, Province of Taranto

We were situuju just beside the beach so the atmosphere was nice but there are devided Spaces. In another space it was loud.

We were given menu with starters from 20€ and mostly seagood. Even in another space (The loud One) people had pizza, pasta etc. So we think we got different extra expensive menu. But our view and part of restaurant looked very fancy. Until the food came. For prices 20€ for starter 25-30€ For main dish it was horrible. 4 adults and 3 of us didnt like it. Just pasta with lobster was fine. Pasta with shrim wasnt even al dente but hard, there were few shrimps. Tuna tartar had no taste, I do better myself. And they brought bread when we almost finished the tartare.

Nobody told us that for bill you have to go yourself to pay at the till. Which isnt really what you expect in restaurant such this.

I was super disaponted and I would not reccomned at all!

Bright seaside Restaurant all in white with some Cuban flavour incl. oldtimer and parrot at the entrance. Mainly seafood dishes which are fresh and tasty. The service is friendly and the view out of the restaurant towards terrace and beach absolutely striking. A place to heavenly eat, then to digest cosily at the beautiful beachside.

The staff doesn't speak English, but they are kind and helpful. The beach itself is beautiful, sea is crystal clear. 2 beds with an umbrella cost 25 EUR. The beach bar and restaurant are ok. Everything has a quite reasonable price.

Good food, friendly staff especially Michaël and Mimo. One of the best views in town. We went 3 times during our holiday and it was excellent everytime!

A very good spritz campari, nice a strong, also a very nice prosecco. Had the gelato as well. Amazing choice, over 40. Very tasty. Well be going there regularly I think. Pay first at the till, receive a receipt and then collect order. Very efficient. Recommended

Nice place with an amazing view on the beach. The place is very busy (restaurant, bar, gelateria, pizzeria). We had to wait for almost 30 min between antipasti and main dish, the waiter brought us the bottle of wine and didn't open it, there were no glasses on the table. The main dishes were served cold (maybe they forgot to bring them). We waited 15 min for the dessert card that didn't come.

Avoid at All Costs: A Masterclass in Rudeness and Incompetence

Dining at El Cohiba 59 in Marina di Pulsano was, without exaggeration, the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in years.

From the start, our waiter was astonishingly rude — curt, dismissive, and seemed irritated by our mere presence. When we politely corrected him after he brought the wrong drinks (beer we hadn’t ordered), it appeared to trigger some bizarre vendetta on his part. The rest of the evening felt like deliberate sabotage.

At one point, he served us food that had already been placed at — and eaten from — another table. That is absolutely inexcusable and raises serious health and hygiene concerns. We were stunned. No apology, no acknowledgment — just plopped it down like nothing happened.

As for our food? Two members of our party ordered risotto. We were repeatedly told “it will be just a few more minutes.” After being strung along for more than an hour, we were finally told it wasn’t coming at all. No explanation. They were simply left without dinner while the rest of us picked at mediocre, lukewarm dishes.

And that’s the kicker — even the food that did arrive was aggressively average. Bland, uninspired, and nowhere near worth the price. Not a single dish stood out.

El Cohiba 59 could be a cautionary tale in a restaurant management seminar: how to take a nice location and completely ruin it with poor service, mismanagement, and utter disregard for customers.

If you’re in Marina di Pulsano, do yourself a favor — walk past this place and don’t look back.
