Absolutely delicious food, freshly prepared and really great service. At first, I was surprised not to see any Indians among the staff, and was a bit skeptical. But, once the food came, all prejudices were thrown overboard. Generous portions, nicely presented and VERY tasty. Among the dishes, they had my favorite Indian dish, called Sag Paneer that day - couldn't have had it any better. Also the condiments were nice. They even made a fresh mango lassie for me, which was not on their lunch menu. The very friendly staff really went out of their way. In the end, I even received a delicious little sweet, made out of chickpeas (which you had never guessed). Next time, I am in Milano, I will make sure to pass by again. Greatly recommend!

It is a great option for those looking for something interesting and different in Milan. Staff were incredibly friendly and patiently talked us through the numerous dishes.
The food was amazing and surpassed expectations.
Be aware that they don't serve alcohol here, so if you're looking for a boozy evening, this probably isn't the right place.
Would go again, would recommend.

The atmosphere at Govinda is simply magical. The restaurant is set in what feels like an old church, adding a unique and enchanting ambiance to the dining experience. The architecture and decor create a serene and captivating environment that enhances the overall experience.

What truly sets Govinda apart is the Indù temple located underneath the restaurant. Visiting the temple was a profound experience, as it exudes a peaceful energy that leaves you feeling calm and rejuvenated.

Located in the crowded center of Milan, Govinda offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!

It’s clear people like this place but it wasn’t for me. Fully vegetarian or vegan Thali, no options. It sounded good and looked nice, but dishes had no flavor for me, which is why I go to Indian, for bold flavors. Maybe it was an off day? I won’t be going back.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the busiest street of Milan I found a place that filled not only my stomach but also my soul. The ambience of this place specially for a Hindu devotee is a class apart. I could not believe such a place could exist right in the heart of Milan.
The food feeds your soul.
Vegan/vegetarian Cuisine only. Run by Iscon group & the staff devotees of Lord Krishna.
Best Thali experience I had outside India.
The only thing missing was Phulka roti.
The staff is extremely kind and for all those trying Thali for the first time everything on the menu is explained.
It also has a temple in the basement.
The entire experience was serene.

I was already very happy my husband brought me to this Indian vegetarian / vegan restaurant for my bday surprise dinner. Turned out the hosts, the chef are all monks from ISKCON temple. And there’s a temple in the basement. Jonathan and the other lady were very kind. Jonathan gave me a gift of Bhagavad Gita book. And this became the ‘highlight’ of our trip in Milan. I was overjoyed and blessed to have the opportunity to experience this kindness. The food was very light, delicious and based on Sattvic custom. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pure and light. And I’ve visited the temple below. Thank you Jonathan! We will be back for sure. 😍❤️🫶
