Both my husband and I are vegans. We've travelled a fair amount, and it can be difficult to find really good vegan restaurants outside of London (this is only because London has a lot of choice). This is an exception. We went twice while in Verona. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the menu. The dishes are good-sized portions. The first time, we over ordered and had to take away the desserts to eat later (we couldn't not try them). The pasta is al dente, just as it should be. My husband's favourite dish was the Bronze Drawn Bigoli with Vegetable Amatriciana, mine was the Cappelletti Filled with Chickpea Hummus and Mint with Aubergines and Confit Cherry Tomatoes. But all was very tasty. The desserts were delicious! Staff were very friendly and attentive to the right level. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the atmosphere cosy, and even though the place filled up, it was not too noisy. We definitely recommend to everyone. I'm sure even non-vegans would find something they would enjoy, even if they tried their hardest not to.

Unfortunately my hopes were high and they were not met. The gnocchi fritto was the only real good dish we had. The pappardelle were nothing special: the basil caviar had no taste at all! The ventaglio was ok but really not more than that. The tartare of avocado was fine. Upon that, the prices are quite high in my opinion. overall, not impressed.

Pasta here is delicious! Great option for vegans or vegetarians in Verona. They’ve also got the option to share half and half if you’re dining in a pair, which is a great option to taste a couple of different flavours and get some variety.

Brilliant food, especially the raw options (of which I tried two). The staff were really kind and attentive. This is THE place to eat in Verona. Beware, have some cash for tips- you cannot put this on your card.

We had a wonderful evening at La Lanterna! The service was great and the food was delicious. Every dish we ordered was full of flavour and the desserts were amazing. We will definitely visit again whenever we visit Verona, would 100% recommend to go an eat there.
